Khaao Piyo Aish Karo Movie Review

According to this Khaao Piyo Aish Karo Movie Review blog, The humor in the movie is decent, and there are some humorous moments, but the plot wanders off aimlessly. There are Jeeta and Mitha’s love songs as well as those of Jeeta’s sister, which gets a little boring after a while.

The movie provides brief peeks into bigger themes like insurance brokers taking advantage of farmers who are weak, or in the conclusion when important issues like staggering inflation and unemployment are addressed. All of this, though, stands out like a sore thumb since the plot’s inconsistencies have not been properly addressed.

The music, with the upbeat, folky “Maahi Ve” taking center stage, is what really makes the movie stand out. It is sung by Tarsem Jassar and features music by Mix Singh with Sufi influences. The highly choreographed song, however, feels out of place in the movie’s generally rural atmosphere. The title track, while appealing, features a production design that is not in keeping with the remainder of the movie. Other melodic tracks include “Wagdi Raavi” and “Phulkari.”

Both the roles of Sundar, who has some of the best lines in the movie, and Ranjit Bawa are funny and outstanding in their performances. Overall, the movie is funny, but it could have been better if the writers had focused more on telling a coherent tale and thoroughly addressing relevant themes.
